“The country is not evenly divided. It is a myriad of people, views, and beliefs.”

Gold

“Nothing gold can stay” you say?
I’m not so sure of that
For I have seen fall’s yellow beam
Dogged upon my tracks.
Crisp and clear at break of dawn
Bold at strike of noon
Mellowing into a yawn
Before the harvest moon.
When I am old, my journey told
And shadows draw to last
A single ray to light my way
Will mark sweet…
