So Far

It’s day 299 leading up to the election and I’m already feeling the weight of being called to write this blog. I have respect for those who have come before me and have committed to a writing challenge. So far:

• I have asked myself to find out if the political views of Huron County and Washtenaw County, Michigan have changed since 2016.
• I have challenged myself to use the local library as a forum for debate and discussion.
• I have asked myself, and others, to take on their faith communities and change the predominantly male hierarchy.
• I am going to find a path back to my family and find common ground on a common topic of concern.
• I am going to make my civics teacher proud and get involved in local, state, or national politics.

I’m either on the road to becoming a democracy superhero, totally delusional, or just trying to find the me in “We the People.” And it’s only been ten days!
